There is a new wave of "Queens" in Fashion and this time...I think they are sticking around for the long haul. I have subtly noticed that the once "Men Dominated Fashion Houses" have slowly and steadily became more and more a female regime. Creative Directors like Donatella Versace and Sarah Burton have done a fabulous job after tragedies have struck big time Fashion Houses like Versace and McQueen, and long time power houses like DVF, Donna Karen, Missoni and Prada have paved a fashionable road sans glitter, beads and sparkles for the more simplistic wearable styles that have captured the eyes of business savvy Power Women everywhere! It all boils down to the old adage of "what do women want?" and who better to know than women themselves? Cheers to female designers for knowing what they want, manifesting it, marketing it and distributing it for everyone else to love!
